Main Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to discuss their business and personal vision as well as their resources and skills.
- Generate and research business ideas given client constraints. This includes but is not limited to, determining what type of business to open, proposing a location to open the business, creating financial forecasts, developing a hiring timeline, and/or providing recommendations on sales and marketing strategies.
- Write the business plan (including developing the financial projections) or work with an outsourced business plan writer, providing inputs, reviewing, and giving feedback on their work.
Delivery Standards & Expectation
The Business Associate should continually strive to improve. The goal is to make the best business plans and strategies. “The best” not only includes the quality of the product but also the speed and the level of care/attention towards the client along the way. Each project requires a different balance and it is the expectation that the business associate identifies and optimizes them accordingly.
Qualities/Skills Required
- Knowledge and interest in a wide range of business industries and practices.
- Understanding of financial statements and sales forecasting.
- Exceptional (secondary data) research skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented and high degree of accuracy.
- Being able to wear multiple hats: understanding the clients’, immigration teams’, and officers’ perspectives.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Time management skill.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team.
