As a Social Media Manager / Copywriter, you will create engaging and impactful copy for a range of digital and print marketing materials by combining a deep understanding of trends inherent to the legal and immigration industry with a varied skill set that will include SEO and conceptual thinking, copywriting, research, script writing, and understanding of social platforms. You’ll need to be an excellent storyteller, working alongside your fellow creatives in a fun, fast-paced environment to find interesting and engaging ways of positive recognition of a brand.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • An exceptional writer and editor.
  • Has a diploma or related degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years of experience as a creative writer.
  • Has an impressive portfolio of relevant work.
  • A storyteller who thinks outside the box.
  • Creatively uses Canva to create social media posts and Publer to schedule them.
  • Has knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Possesses some experience in using WordPress and developing web content
  • Proven knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is an asset.
  • Has some experience with email marketing and Active Campaign, in particular
  • Understands what needs to be done on various social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail, ability to quality check their own work, with a proactive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Has the ability to collaborate and work in a team.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

  • Create and schedule social media posts while adhering to the content calendar.
  • Write informative and client-centred web content.
  • Think outside the box to uncover innovative and engaging ways to push the law firm’s marketing campaigns to the next level.
  • Be more than just a copywriter. You will act as an advisor to the marketing team and management, helping to clarify business objectives, define key messages, and differentiate our law firm from others.
  • Refine complex ideas into tight headlines, positioning statements, social media posts, ads, emails, taglines, and video scripts.
  • Ideate and produce original copy for digital, social media, print collateral, and any other copy needs.
  • Work closely with peers to deliver all copy to ensure consistency and accuracy across all messaging to the agreed briefs and established brand guidelines.
  • Follow and help build a tone of voice consistent with brand standards throughout all copy and proactively make recommendations to improve end results.
  • Be responsible for writing and ideation of creative that enhances brand voice.
  • Undertake or support research and develop an understanding of our target audience and competitor products.
  • Focus on B2B, B2C and/or B2B2C campaign messaging with the aim of building awareness, engagement, and acquisition of clients.
