Subuhi is an Immigration Lawyer at Sobirovs Law Firm. She has a passion for immigration law, is a strong advocate for her clients and has argued for them through applications as well as at court hearings.
Subuhi has always had a keen interest in international law and development. She has worked with immigration lawyers known to be leaders of industry as well as leaders of academia. In her eight (8) years of experience in immigration, Subuhi has gained a strong command over the law and continues to service individual and corporate clients in a variety of immigration matters. Her focus is centered around permanent and temporary applications, which includes written applications for permanent residence based on economic classes, humanitarian and compassionate grounds, Pre-approval Risk Assessments, spousal sponsorships, temporary resident permits, temporary resident visas, criminal rehabilitation as well as LMIAs, Intra-Company transfers and C-11 work permits. She has been very successful in assisting individuals with issues of criminal or medical inadmissibility.
She enjoys litigation matters and represents clients in refugee hearings and appeals, spousal and residency obligation appeals, and has appeared on behalf of clients in stay proceedings and Judicial Reviews before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal. She has also represented clients at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice.
Subuhi has a reputation for retaining and working on challenging cases and receiving positive results. She has a unique method of understanding her client’s immigration needs and creating an application specific to those needs to achieve an approval from the Canadian authorities. She takes great pride in being personable with her clients and effectively representing them in accordance with their unique needs. She places a high value on professionalism, client communication and confidentiality.
Subuhi has lived and travelled to many countries, including Oman, the UAE and the United Kingdom, and has worked with Habitat for Humanity in England and the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program in Toronto. In her spare time, she advocates for social justice. She enjoys hiking and relaxes by cuddling up with her two sphynx cats while reading a book with a cup of green tea.
