1. Intra-Company Transfer Work Visa (ICT)

This program is designed specifically for business owners who want to expand and establish a branch in Canada. This type of work permit allows business owners to transfer key human resources to operate the company in Canada.

Program details

Who can participate:

  • Business owner, has been operating a company in Vietnam for 12 months or more; and/or
  • Key personnel working at the company for 12 months or more

 

Program conditions

  • The company in Canada must have a close relationship with the company in Vietnam.
  • The company in Vietnam must maintain parallel business with the Canadian company for at least 12 months or more.
  • The Canadian company must have been in operation for at least 12 months or more.

Minimum investment

  • The government does not require a minimum investment, however, the Canadian company must demonstrate the ability to pay for the business in the first year. Therefore, we recommend that you have approximately $150,000 – $200,000 CAD in your bank account.

 

Required documents for companies in Vietnam and Canada

  • Company registration and ownership license
  • Documents proving business operations
  • Personal documents

 

Duration of work permit

  • If the company is newly established in Canada, the license is granted for 1 year.
  • If the company is already operating in Canada, the license is granted for 2 years.

 

Conditions for work permit extension

  • Within 1 year, the company in Canada must rent premises and hire at least 1 Canadian employee. It does not matter whether the business is profitable or not.

 

Relatives are allowed to come together

  • Wife and children under 22 years old (single) can accompany the applicant
  • Wife is granted work permit
  • Children under 18 years old can go to school for free as soon as they arrive in Canada.

 

Social benefits received

  • The whole family enjoys all health care benefits as a local during the entire validity of the work permit.

 

Application review time

  • Visas are processed and issued within 1 to 3 months from the time of application. Once you have your visa, you can immediately book your flight to Canada.

 

Possibility of permanent residency – permanent visa for the whole family

  • After arriving in Canada, depending on your language skills and business, you can apply for permanent residency under the federal immigration program.

2. Owner/Operatior LMIA

This is a program that allows you, after purchasing or establishing a business, to come and directly manage your company in Canada.

  • Own and control more than 50% of a company in Canada
  • Financially qualified to pay employees in Canada at the prescribed rate

3. Start-Up Visa Program

Đây là một trong những chương trình được chính phủ giữ cả hai lựa chọn hoặc nhận thường trú nhân trước khi sang Canada với thời gian xét hồ sơ từ 12-15 tháng. Hoặc nhận giấy phép làm việc và sang Canada chỉ trong vòng 7 tuần. Ngoài ra, quý vị cũng có thể nộp cả hai như xin giấy phép làm việc để đến Canada trong lúc đợi kết quả từ hồ sơ xin thường trú nhân.
